IIM-AFRICA partners with PECB Canada on Information Security

https://www.pecb.org/images/stories/main-logo_145x.gifJust few weeks after her official announcement of affiliation with the Information and Records Management Society (IRMS) (a foremost professional association based in the UK with affiliates world wide), the Institute of Information Management (IIM) Africa has signed a partnership agreement with Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB)

According to the Chairman, Board of Directors, IIM-Africa, Dr. Oyedokun Ayodeji Oyewole, "The Institute is proud to announce that it has signed a partnership agreement with Canadian-based PECB to administer Information Security Management System (ISMS): ISO 27001 and Information Security Certifications, ISO 27005 and Risk Management Certifications, and ISO 9001 and Quality professional certification. This partnership will increase IIM-Africa’s range of certification and at the same time allow PECB to offer its certification through an internationally recognized certification body and through our globally dispersed network".


Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB) is a personnel certification body for various international standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 20000, ISO 22301, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27005, OHSAS 18001, ISO 22000, ISO 26000 and ISO 28000.

IIM-Africa Introduces THE MOBILE INSTITUTE

In the bid to promote organizational excellence through Corporate Information Governance in Nigeria and Africa, the Institute of Information Management Africa has decided to take Information Management initiatives to various  organizations by creating free training programs for corporate bodies tagged the MOBILE INSTITUTE.

The training packages includes; Managing Physical and Electronic Records, Corporate Information governance, Managing HR records, Information Management for Compliance, Managing financial Records, and lastly, Records Management Training for Freedom of Information Officers.
